Are You Courageous Enough To Walk On This Terrifying Bridge?

You might be quite a daredevil in your family – engaging yourself in adventure sports like river rafting, para sailing, para gliding and what not.

But do you have the guts to walk this 60 feet long bridge, which is located about 100 feet above the ground with huge rocks on the bottom?

Before you answer, take a look at this beautiful, yet terrifying bridge again.

This landmark Carrick-a-Rede is a rope bridge in the Ballintoy region of Northern Ireland. It proves as a link to the small island of Carrickarede.

While most people try to fight their natural instinct of looking down though crossing the bridge, others avoid it altogether, and simply enjoy the natural view and beauty around them (which is plenty, by the way). A lot of other people, after crossing the bridge have found themselves in a state of utter anxiety who feel they cannot possibly dare to go back. Such people are “rescued” by the rescue boats that take them back to the mainland. Which category do you think you belong to?

However, the interesting thing here is that if you do choose to look down, you will find playful dolphins and majestic sharks in the water below.

Such sightings are very common in this area of the North Sea. You will also find many other exotic and rare species of birds here. After crossing the bridge, you can soak in the stunning, natural beauty around you and see an uninterrupted view of the Rathlin Island. We assure that it is worth the risk.

And while you’re at it, why not take a look at the original form of this bridge, which only had a single handrail, which made it all the more petrifying to cross!

Isn’t that majestically terrifying? Let us know in comments below.
