Some rules are very special rules that a person should always remember and do not forget. They are extremely important and useful guideposts to keep us on track and going in the right direction.

Rules exist for use, to be followed, to guide you. No matter what your ultimate goal is or what challenge you face, the rule is there. Just choose the Golden Rule that applies and follow it.

Here are my 5 tips for working out when you are at not in a gym.

Golden Rule # 1, Avoid being disturbed. The reason behind this is when at home all the time we have people coming and asking for things, our kids, our wives and maybe friends stop by. Remember, any interruption breaks your routine and could jeopardize your workout success.

Golden Rule # 2, Do not eat too much before. This can be very important because digesting takes up a lot of energy. You’ll want to keep in mind that your body will need the energy when working out. So do not let your stomach take away the energy you need.

Golden Rule # 3, Develop a fixed routine your will stick to. There are good reasons you will need to do that. Among them are that you should not just make some exercise here or there. Keep following a certain routine and stick to it.

Golden Rule # 4, Document your progress. There are definite ways to do this, including keeping a workout log on paper or in your computer. How many push-ups or sit-ups have you done today, how many yesterday etc.

Golden Rule # 5, Make sure you get some proteins after a workout. This could certainly include some typical protein milk-shake. It’s important as it gives to your body all the amino acids it needs to build up your muscles.

Believe in these principals for working out at home. They are tried and true and found to be true. Follow them and your own ultimate success will probably be much more likely and also the results even more satisfying.
