Castles have not only played an important role in European history but have also been fascinating people for centuries.

Although European castles have passed their hayday, there are still thousands of them that attract people with their imposing gothic arches, lush gardens, ancient dwellings, enormous fireplaces, intricate wooden furnishings and massive stone walls.

While a lot of them are in ruins, there is still plenty of it, that is luxury homes offering a kingly stay.

In the United States, there are some such castles, or better called as castle-themed McMansions, that have been on the market for well over a year now.

The only reason behind this is that American castle’s custom nature costs a lot, sometimes far more than even the most luxurious homes nearby.
