Iris Grace – The Autistic Child With An Artistic Soul

Iris Grace has infinite admirers, buyers and loyal fans for her wondrous artistic masterpieces. Her works are often compared with the legend and the founder of French Impressionist painting, Claude Monet mostly because of the striking impressionistic style Iris follows.

A couple of years ago, just like the parents of any silent child with autism, Iris’s parents were finding ways to help their little girl with speech therapy. Noticing her fascination towards nature like water and trees, the little girl’s parents encouraged her to paint. Initially, it didn’t go as planned but soon young Iris took a fancy for it.

Iris’s parents discovered her impressive skills and exceptional talent. And realised how art was effective in helping their six-year-old. And it all fell into place. It’s delightful to the see the little one paint so incredibly.

Her remarkable focus and attention and incredible sense of hues and colours has surprised everyone. Currently, Iris’s works are bought by art galleries, private art collectors and museums in UK and other countries.

Iris paints while her pet cat, Thula watches her intently.

Iris’s website described her as delightful, funny, serene, dainty, intelligent, crafty and utterly gorgeous! Iris loves nature, books, art, animals and her cat Thula. (sic)

Iris was diagnosed with autism in December 2011 at 2 years old. With the expert help of many therapists she changed dramatically in just a short space of time. (sic)

I make up some cups of very watery paint, she chooses which one she would like to use and gets me to make more when she needs it and she mixes her own colours from mug to mug. (sic)

Iris enjoys music as much as painting.

Iris and Thula love hanging out.

Iris is mostly accompanied by Thula.

They share a unique bond.
