It is one of those simple things that even a one-year-old can crack, but an adult often builds it up to some mysterious thingie. They say it right when they say happiness is a state of mind. It is indeed a decision that one carefully needs to make, a way to become the master of your life.

Here’s are some simple ways to feel happy:

1. Love Yourself

Being unique is a gift that everyone should treasure. It would be so boring if we all looked the same, sounded the same, and had the same talents. Everything would be so mundane.

2. Be Grateful For What You Have

Focus on what you have rather than what you don’t; cherish the little joys of life. Sharing a coffee with someone you love hanging out with, reading a book by your favourite author or listening to your favourite musician; these things don’t cost a dime but instil a sense of gratitude.

3. Spend Time With Friends And Family

They are always there to support and guide you through the tough times and make you realize on what really matters rather than the extras. They save you from the pile-ons.

4. Do Things That You Love

Concentrating on the things you are good at makes you feel good about yourself. Maybe just braiding your hair nicely, styling your folks or writing an awesome line or maybe hitting the gym. Anything that makes you go like “good job buddy!”

5. Congratulate Yourself

Once in a while, it’s good to pat your own back and be proud of what you have accomplished. Smile at yourself, feel proud and all pumped up.

6. Keep Your Inner And Outer System Happy

Not having expectations from anyone makes it easier for you to be happy, also knowing your inner self makes you concentrate well, and put you energy on more productive things throughout the day. Avoid props that may pout you off or make yourself-esteem drop.

7. Get Into A Good Workout Regime

Workouts shifts your mind off things and produce hormones that help to elevate your mood and infuse energy. Also, the whole feeling of getting into shape is awesome!

8. Meditation

Meditating calms oneself and helps you to connect with your inner self in a surreal way. Soothe your frivolous mind which is always on the run, relax your muscles which are always up to something. Benefits are countless when it comes to meditation.

9. Don’t Compare Yourself To Other

Comparison can be pretty risky. In a way it is good as it brings out the best in you. But, at the same time, it also has to be reasonable. You cannot be comparing your beauty with celebrities, figure with skinny people and salary with the CFO of the company.

10. Learn To Be Happy For Others

When people around are happy, it’s positivity all around. Let’s say, when your best friend gets his/her dream job, when your friend manages to lose all the flab and looks stunning or that romantic proposal your friend shared with you; good vibes, lighter head and you are sorted.
