Exercise not only helps you lose weight, it can also give you a great complexion too. When you exercise, blood flows to the skin surface carrying oxygen and nutrients needed for a great complexion.

Exercising is also a great way to improve your posture, and as a result, you look immediately slimmer without counting so much as a calorie. Someone with good posture and strong abdominal muscles will look slimmer than someone who is a stone lighter, but slouches.

Exercising will help you burn more calories through the day. Even after you exercise, you will keep burning calories for hours after. Exercising also builds up muscle which requires more energy from the body than fat, this makes your metabolic rate higher, leading to faster weight loss.

Exercise has also been proven to help you increase brain power, improve memory, and even offset possible mental decline as you get older. This is mainly down to the increased flow of oxygen rich blood to the brain.

It is possible to lose weight without exercising, but embarking on a diet alone will not get you the six pack that you desire. To get a toned stomach arms or legs, you will need to adopt regular fitness routineand in particular, do resistance training.

Exercising also beats stress and helps you sleep better. Regular exercise will release endorphins in the brain, which will give you a natural buzz and help combat stress. In a recent US study at Stanford University, volunteers exercised four times a week and were found to fall sleep more quickly, and slept an hour longer than average.

Exercising can also beat osteoporosis. Osteoporosis can cause loss of height and severe back pain and is responsible for 60,000 head and 50,000 wrist fractures each year. Regular exercise for at least 20 minutes a day is the key to stopping brittle bones in their tracks.
