Tech giant Infosys is all set to build the world’s tallest freestanding clock tower at its 345-acre global education centre located in Mysuru, Karnataka. The centre is also the world’s biggest corporate university.

The tower will be built at a height of 135 metres. London’s Big Ben (96 m) is currently the tallest freestanding clock tower in the world. Hoover Tower (87 m) in California and McGraw Tower (53 m) in Cornell are the second and third respectively.

According to reports, the clock tower will be built in sync with other classical look of buildings in located inside the campus. Gothic style will be used and the tower will have 19 floors, including a breathtaking boardroom at the 7th level.

The tower would cost Infosys Rs 60 crores and will take 20 months to complete. The tower will be designed by Hafeez Contractor, who is a famous Mumbai-based architect responsible for the design of Infosys’ Mysuru campus.
