A Slovakian firm, named Nice Architects is changing the concept of home with their egg-shaped Ecocapsule that sustains itself with solar and wind energy. In other words, the residents living in this Ecocapsule will not require any sort of external support.

The size of this Ecocapsule is 4.5 meters in length, 2.4 meters in width, and 2.5 meters in height and is perfectly suitable for 2 people to stay inside it. For the energy source, this portable home has a 9,744 watt-hour battery which is powered by one 750 watt silent wind turbine and also a 600 watt solar output for self sustainability. This is a dual power system to ensure that there is electricity even without enough sunlight or wind. Apart from these, it has rainwater collection system as well as filtration system to clean the water for further use.

This compact designed home have all the necessities required for living a decent life, that includes double bed, storage space, kitchenette, bathroom with a shower, flushable toilet, and work space. About the transportability of this Ecocapsule, the company stated that it can be easily moved from one to another place in a trailer and fits inside a standard transportation container.

The company first unveiled the prototype of Ecocapsule at the Pioneers Festival, Vienna, this may and by the end of this year, it will be available for pre-order. The shipping will start from early next year.
