After a historic event of hiring the first female Sikh anchor, Manmeet Kaur, and a transgender news anchor, another Pakistani news channel Public TV has hired the country’s first male Sikh news anchor. The private news channel employed Harmeet Singh who belongs to the Sikh Minority community in Pakistan and took to Twitter to share the proud news. The channel shared the video of Harmeet Singh and wrote, “Pakistan’s 1st Sikh News Anchor Harmeet Singh only on #PublicNews.”
